Title: Does a Code Enforcement Violation From 2021 Support That Sharon McBride Vacated Her Residence?

Sharon McBride, a Democrat and Common Council member for South Bend's 3rd District, is facing mounting scrutiny over allegations that she intentionally vacated her constituency to reside outside her elected district. McBride admitted during a November 10th, 2023 deposition that she has lived with her mother in South Bend’s 2nd District since September 2020, a move that, if true, would disqualify her from holding office in the 3rd District under Indiana law.

While the legal challenge over McBride’s residency continues, a potential new piece of evidence raises further questions. A photo taken in June of 2021 by South Bend Code Enforcement showing piles of trash bags, discarded household items, and cases of beer stacked behind McBride's 3rd District residence. If McBride was not living at the address as she claimed under oath, who was responsible for the consumption of these items?

If someone else was residing in McBride's home during this period, this may further support McBride's legal challenger's argument that McBride lost claim to her 3rd district residence/domicile. Meaning McBride must resign from her elected office.
