That's precisely what happened when South Bend Mayor James Mueller turned his attention to an issue that had been a dark spot, quite literally, for local residents. A broken street light had been a lingering concern, casting shadows on the safety and tranquility of their neighborhood. Having voiced their grievances without resolution for what seemed an eternity, the residents finally found a listening ear during the Mayor’s Night Out event in February. With a direct appeal to Mayor James Mueller, they were promised a swift resolution. True to his word, the once broken street light now beams brightly, a testament to the Mayor's commitment to his community.
