SOUTH BEND, Ind. — South Bend Common Council Member Karen White (At-Large) allegedly called for violence towards President Trump during the St. Joseph County Democratic Party meeting on Oct. 4, 2025. According to multiple attendees who reported the incident to Redress South Bend, White was quoted saying, Okay, and we're gonna put the orange man. I don't know where y'all are gonna put him, but I know where I would like to put him. I don't think jail is good enough.” (exact quote attributed after receiving video of White's comments)

The comment, which those in attendance interpreted as a call for violence against the 47th President of the United States, raises serious concerns among the state of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party.

A message left for Councilwoman White earlier in the week seeking comment was not returned as of Publication.
